Playing video games and eating ho-hos for the last 10 years has done nothing for my figure. In fact I am pretty sure it has contributed to the fact that I am overweight and single. I work for a car insurance company and according to the health insurance manual you have to be overweight by 200 pounds in order to go on disability. I know this may sound crude but, I am only 25 pounds away and honestly I hate my job, it is always the same thing, wake up work 9-5 take complaints and listen to people talk about how much we suck. So, I decided to take on the crusade of gaining these last 25 pounds to go on disability.  I love playing video games, especially world of war craft and eating pizza and ice cream all day sounds like a dream job. It only took me 6 weeks to gain the weight and before I knew it those 25 pounds that I wanted to gain quickly turned into 60 pounds.  So, I started to do some exercise by watching Isabel De Los Rios in the morning for 10 minutes a day and by the end of the first month of exercising I had put on 15 more pounds.

For some reason I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t losing any weight and then I saw this infomercial that talked about all the foods that I ate on a regular basis and how horrible it was for you and that those foods could even kill you! That got my attention as I just wanted to relax and play games, I didn’t want to die! So, I ordered the 31 Day Fat Loss Cure, Vic Magary and threw out all of the junk food in my house.  I lost 60 pounds within my first month and another 40 in my second by the end of my third month I was able to return to work but, I didn’t want to go back. I looked for other options and found this start-up business energy company that was looking for someone part-time. I got the job and along with the job came all these amazing perks.  We received summers off, monthly profit sharing and a membership to a gym of your choice. I was on a roll with losing weight but, I really wanted something fun to do to help me lose weight too. It took me about 3 days to find the gym I wanted to go to, it was small but it offered all these fun classes and it also offered Wing Chun Dummy which, I was extremely excited to learn as I had been bullied most of my life. Within a year I was fit, happy and in love. It is crazy to think how your life can change so drastically and how you can find meaning to life once you start doing what you want. No more video games and ho-hos for me, I am a changed man for with a love for life!

A story of healing, studying, trials and learning

I have been dealing with bad skin off and on since I was about 13 years old. During my adolescent years it was much harder to deal with as I was dealing with raging hormones on top of having kids at school call me Freddy Kruger and pizza face. It definitely did not do much for my self confidence but, it did allow me to study hard and get good grades. During, my junior year of high school I won a chance to go to Italy to study abroad. The experience was something I have never forgotten. I learned so much about Italian culture and saw all the sights. When I returned to the United States my family was ecstatic to hear about all the things that I learned over there and we even started to incorporate some Italian traditions in with our own.

My acne was still pretty bad and so, in the summer before my senior year my mother took me to a specialist that put me on some special medicine that made all the difference. My face cleared up and my personality blossomed, I had an amazing senior year and made a ton of new friends. I was no longer called Freddy Kruger or pizza face, life was great until a week before school ended.  It was a typical Friday night of hanging out with my friends; we had decided that it would be great to drive down to San Diego and walk the boardwalk. We had a great time; we played games, ate pizza and flirted with some super hot guys. It was an amazing night; we decided to drive home at around 1 am as we had a graduation meeting at 9 am and the next thing I remember is being in a hospital bed. My first concern was where and how my friends were as there were 4 of us total in the car. I could tell by the look in my doctor’s eyes that the news wasn’t good; I was the lone survivor. I felt guilty as all I had was a concussion and a few bumps and bruises however; I quickly changed that guilt into fight! I wanted to fight for my friends to make sure that drunk driver paid for what he did to my friends.

I did my research and found Mr. Smith of thecounselors. He and his team won many claims and he was more than happy to take on my case pro-bono; as he and his associates wanted justice as much as I did. The case seemed to go on forever as there was a ton of work and research that needed to be done to make sure that we did not lose the case.  During this time I tried to concentrate on what I wanted to do with my life should I stay in San Diego or move out east? The question seemed to linger in my mind but, I was pretty sure that I wanted a new start where people wouldn’t know who I was or what happened to me but, I needed to wait until the case was closed if I was going to make a drastic move across country.  So, in the two years of waiting for this case to come before a judge I decided to go to college to learn SEO. My father ran an SEO business and thought it would be nice for me to eventually take over the company. This was far from my dream but, I was willing to do anything to get out of the house and stop thinking about the accident.

Two years after the accident, the case finally came before a judge. I was extremely nervous as I had never seen the man that took away my friends from me and radically changed my life forever. I always imagined him being some grungy looking creep but, when I walked into the court room I couldn’t believe that he looked like an average guy.  He even had a family that was supporting him in the pews behind his lawyer. My attorney made me aware that he had hired the bestauto insurance los angeles california and that his lawyer had never lost a case.  Well, that was all about to change as my attorneys reigned victorious and he was sentenced to pay 1 million dollars to each of my friends family and $500,000 to me, he was also sentenced to 5 years in jail but, was released in 2 years due to overcrowding in the prisons.  My friends family each used to money to create scholarships in their name and I decided to use the money to move across county to Georgia where my grandmother lived to figure out what I wanted to do with my life.

My grandmother ran a small business called online cash loans and so I worked with her for a few months however, I couldn’t get out of my head the time I spent in high school over in Italy. I started to ponder about moving over there as it seemed that was where I belonged but, I wasn’t sure if it would be a wise move.  So, I decided to take a trip first; I figured if I spend a few months there that I would be able to make that decision but, I knew as soon as I stepped off the plane that Italy was where I belonged. I stayed for 3 months before I flew back to Georgia to get all my affairs in order. I needed to make sure that the transition to Italy was easy and painless. I talked to my accountant to make sure that my funds would be transferred over into Euros before I left and said my goodbyes to my family.  I was now off to start a new chapter in my life; to live, learn and love.

It didn’t take long for me to get settled in my new country, I loved every part of it! I did a lot of reading and a lot of shopping! I developed a bit of a shoe habit and now have a fine collection of Modische Schuhe. I do need to probably get a less expensive habit but, I do whatever makes me happy.  I lived a long time as a shy pimply faced kid, I survived a tragedy and overcame it victoriously and so if I have learned anything from my life thus far; it is that the world is your oyster and don’t let anything hold you back from making your dreams a reality. Live every day like it is your last and live it to the fullest!
